I regret to inform you that effective Monday, 23 March 2020, all existing appointments will be cancelled and, where needed, may be rescheduled through contact with the Student Health Center Telephone Triage Nurse at (865) 974-5080 . The Telephone Triage Nurse will obtain information regarding your health condition and schedule a new appointment accordingly. Presently, and for the near-term, students should avoid walk- in evaluations at the Student Health Center. Please call the Telephone Triage Nurse at (865) 974-5080 prior to coming to the Health Center. Additionally, on-line scheduling through the on-line patient portal will be discontinued. At this time, we are diligently working with our vendors to enable access to Telehealth appointment options for our patients and will utilize those where feasible. These measures are intended to improve the availability of appointments for acutely ill or injured patients and avoid the amount of time that patients are required to remain in public areas within the health center, thus improving adherence to current CDC social distancing guidelines. We will make additional information regarding resumption of usual appointment scheduling available as soon as possible. In the interim, if you need to schedule a new appointment or reschedule a previously existing appointment that has now been cancelled, please contact our Telephone Triage Nurse at (865) 974-5080.
